Proposition is when it can either be a true or false statement.

Example:

It snows only when its cold

some statements may only work in some ways:

If the temperature is 100 degrees then the water will boil

If P then Q

You can even have many outcomes of the statement:

If P then Q, if Q then R, therefore If P then R

Example:

If it is freezing then the streets are icy, if the streets are icy then accidents will happen, therefore if it is freezing then accidents will happen.

In order to plan a solution you should:

What strategies will you apply?

What resources will you use?

How will you use these resources?

In what order will you use them?

Are your resources adequate the task?

One strategy involves breaking a big problem into lots of smaller problems.
